Anil Awasti - President

Anil is a San Francisco native who has lived and worked in the Bay Area his entire life. He is passionate about organizational behavior and systems. Anil works to improve organizational effectiveness by employing a deep understanding of business and human behavior. He holds a MA in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and certificates in Change Management, Lean Six Sigma, Human Resources, and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. With his ability to use data driven process improvement techniques, Anil has consulted to several organizations ranging from startups to established firms. Currently, Anil is an Associate Director of HR. Anil’s hobbies includes fitness, martial arts, pool, and golf. He regularly volunteers in the community to teach self-defense to students of all ages and of diverse backgrounds.

Joe Wagenhofer - Executive Director

Joe Wagenhofer has been the Executive Director since 2014. Prior to serving as Executive Director, Joe served as Sitike’s Administrator from 2006 to 2014 and as the Development Director from 2003 to 2005. Joe has been working in the nonprofit field since 1998 as an event director, development director and administrator. Prior to 1998 Joe worked as the West Coast regional manager of an international Quality Assurance inspection company for 12 years and volunteered for a few nonprofits since 1987.

Diane Wilson - Vice President

Diane Wilson is a Bay Area native, living in South San Francisco since 1984. She is recently, and happily, retired from the U. S. government with a background in IT. She has been active with nonprofits since 1990, most notably with the Girl Scouts, PTSA and other school groups as well as recent involvement with the Red Cross. She raised two children and enjoys time with her grandchild. She is an advocate of lifelong learning, with a recent degree in multimedia technology from Skyline College, magna cum laude; past degrees include Sociology and Computer Programming, both from College of San Mateo. Her hobbies include baking and cake decorating, knitting and many crafts.

Jennifer Shulze - Secretary

Jennifer has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and currently works as a Business Risk and Regulatory Specialist for TIAA-CREF Asset Management. Prior to her current role, she worked for Kaspick & Company, an investment management firm specializing in administration of life income planned gifts (a subsidiary of TIAA-CREF) and Wells Fargo Investments as a compliance professional. A resident of San Francisco, Jennifer has been an active volunteer at the Castro Country Club (a sober social space) and participates in numerous fundraising and other activities for both the recovery and the LGBT/Allies community in San Francisco. Jennifer holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Southwestern University, an M.A. Latin American Studies, and an M.B.A.

Elizabeth Fricke - Treasurer

Native San Franciscan, longtime resident of San Mateo County, attended Skyline College. I've worked in the insurance field for over 30 years currently with a British company as a risk analyst. Lifetime member of Girl Scouts currently serving as Registrar for their Service Unit, also for past several years I volunteer at KCSM during pledge drive as well as being a board member at Sitike. .

Barbara Irli - Member

Born and raised in Brainerd, Minnesota, moving to California in 1963. Married Rich and moved to South San Francisco in 1972. We have no children and each have only one sister. I have been retired since 1999 from the wholesale electrical business where I enjoyed the title of "Sales Manager" for many years. My prior work experience was in the financial field. My education consists of High School and 2 yrs. of Teachers College in Minnesota. While working I enrolled in several courses at San Mateo Community College to help further my career. I'm an avid sports fan. 49er's, having gone to all 5 Super Bowls, Giants and Warriors. Rich and I enjoy our home in Arnold, Ca. year around, entertaining family and friends. We love to travel. We've been to numerous European countries, plus an outstanding African Safari to Kenya. I am a member of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in SSF where I'm on the Church Council and am the Congregational Activities Coordinator. I am also on the Board of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. Most recently I was termed out as a Parking Commissioner for the City of South San Francisco, I have been a member of Soroptimist International of North San Mateo County for 26 years. This has been a passion of mine as I truly believe in its mission and focus "Improving the lives of women and girls in our local community and throughout the world". I am also a member of the SSF Historical Society.

Rod Walton - Member

Roderic Walton is a Bay Area transplant originally from Texas and relocating to the Bay Area after four years abroad. A classically trained musician, Roderic is also a seasoned techie; having served as a Senior Data and Forensics Consultant to several global banks and corporations and currently a Project Manager for a major law firm in Silicon Valley. Roderic received his B.A in Music and Academic Studies with a minor in World History from Baylor University. He has also studied Performance at NYU. He enjoys reading, writing, traveling and chess. Roderic is also a lifelong community volunteer and activist, devoting his life to address the needs and concerns of the community's most vulnerable.
